Moderate Walks
The gentle hills of Moray and Aberdeenshire, among them local landmarks of Ben Rinnes, Bennachie and Clachnaben, offer a choice of moderate-level walks on good tracks, with bird's eye views over a tapestry of pinewoods and rolling farmland, and the distant Cairngorm Mountains.

Grampian has a superb and generally under-explored coastline, with many beautiful fishing villages, coves, castles and cliffs. There is variety of good coastal walking and wonderful views for much of the way round, from broad swathes of sandy beaches at Lossiemouth to the cliffs known as the Bullers of Buchan, south of Peterhead. The coast is a wildlife haven: birds at the Bullers of Buchan, the Spey estuary and the Loch of Strathbeg and Forvie nature reserves; a resident colony of bottle nosed dolphins at play in the Moray Firth.
